Since the establishment of the FOC "Vision" (1992), it has been performing diagnostics, medical, laser and surgical treatment of patients according to methods developed at the school of Professor Svyatoslav Fedorov. In addition, the following methods of diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases are used in FOC "Vision", namely:
  • treatment of retinal pigment dystrophy;
  • use of hard, soft and multifocal intraocular lenses;
  • medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma by the methods of SM Fedorov, which give a draining and long-lasting hypotensive effect;
  • resorbable sutures are used in the surgical treatment of strabismus;
  • removal of myopia by keratotomy is a gentle method
In addition, the following techniques are used in our clinic:
  • Cross-linking is not a surgical thickening of the cornea in keratoconus.
  • Introduction of drugs into the retrobulbar space in macular degeneration, optic nerve atrophy with a long-acting special catheter.
  • Applying a purse string suture on the pupil without opening the eyeball in case of eye injury.
  • Removal of keratoconus without corneal transplantation is a unique operation developed at S. Fedorov's clinic.
  • Implantation of a negative lens with a high degree of myopia.
  • Blockade of the pterygopalatine ganglion for the treatment of corneal diseases, inflammation of the inner membranes of the eyeball, as well as for anesthesia during surgery.
  • Retrobulbar administration of Retinolamine in the macula in macular degeneration.
  • There is software for calculating surgery methods and predicting the results of surgical treatment of myopia and astigmatism.
In addition to the high technical equipment of the clinic, it should be noted the unique method of caring for the patient after surgery for 1-2 days. The uniqueness lies in the fact that the vast majority of ophthalmological clinics prefer to discharge the patient on the day of surgery. But, at the same time, he must come to the clinic every day for outpatient observation. That is, the patient bears additional costs for housing, food, medicines during postoperative observation. At the Vision Center, the patient has the opportunity to be in the clinic during this period, where excellent conditions are created for the patient and his speedy recovery and supervised observation.
