INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS DAY IN THE PRIVATE SCHOOL PINECREST SCHOOL SIMI VALLEY
International Friends Day in the private school Pinecrest School Simi Valley
Our fund participated in the International Friends Day holiday organized in the private school Pinecrest School Simi Valley on April 13, 2016. In the course of event each class had an opportunity to present the chosen world country. We couldn’t lose an opportunity to tell about our motherland – Ukraine. Due to mutual efforts of children, teachers and members of the fund we have managed to prepare a class for the event. Thus, we have decorated it with children’s paintings and hand-made crafts in Ukrainian style, and prepared an information stand with pictures, photos and map of Ukraine and Europe. Members of the fund got the chance to inform guests about Ukraine as a south-eastern country with ancient and rich culture. Parents and children were served traditional Ukrainian food in the course of event. Besides, they had an opportunity to listen to the folk music. Souvenirs and photos of the book with historical places of interest of the country were presented as well.Our purpose was to present Ukraine from a new, unusual angle for our American friends, and to strengthen our friendly and family relationships!
